Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick have a better co-parenting relationship thanks to therapy.
In a new video on her lifestyle brand website Poosh, the 40-year-old reality star and her 35-year-old ex opened up about how they co-parent their three kids, Mason, 9, Penelope, 6, and Reign, 4, despite breaking up in 2015.
“We had to literally go to therapy to talk…to even get through…to be able to communicate together,” Kourtney revealed.
The two revealed that they decided to start therapy after they both started dating other people.
“I think the hardest part [of co-parenting] was when we both started new relationships,” Kourtney shared, who previous dated Younes Bendjima while Scott is still dating Sofia Richie. “Because that caused fights between you and I about introducing the kids. I think that caused the most challenges. That was the time that you and I had our biggest [challenge,] where we had to literally go to therapy to talk [and] to even get through [and] be able to communicate together.”
Scott added: “I think the biggest challenge was just trying to figure out how we separate our relationship as friends and parents and still be on the same page. And, what’s appropriate and what’s not and when to be able to talk to each other. In the beginning you set good [boundaries] and then we learned from that and got to a good place.”
