The UFC’s first fight card in South Carolina just got a whole lot bigger.
On Tuesday afternoon, promotion officials confirmed the addition of several fights for their upcoming UFC Greenville card in June.
Among the additions is a meeting between a pair of surging flyweights in Andrea Lee and Montana De La Rosa.
Lee (10-2) has yet to taste defeat inside the Octagon since making her debut last May. In her most recent outing, the woman known as “KGB” emerged victorious over UFC veteran Ashlee Evans-Smith on the UFC’s inaugural ESPN card in February. Her opponent, De La Rosa (10-4) also carries an unblemished UFC record. The Texas native previously notched a second-round submission win over Nadia Kassem at UFC 234 in February. To date, De La Rosa has yet to reach the judges’ scorecard during her run in the UFC.
Also confirmed for the card is a welterweight fight between Bryan Barberena and Randy Brown.
Barberena (14-6) is coming off a violent TKO loss to Vicente Luque in February. While he didn’t get his hand raised, “Bam Bam’s” performance was enough to earn him second Fight of the Night bonus while also cementing himself on the shortlist for Fight of the Year. Brown (10-3) is also looking to right the ship after coming out on the wrong end of a second-round knockout to Niko Price in July.
In addition a pair middleweight fights between Kevin Holland (15-4) vs. Alessio Di Chirico (12-2) and Markus Perez (11-2) vs. Deron Winn (5-0), a heavyweight clash between Allen Crowder (10-3) vs. Jairzinho Rozenstruik (6-0), a strawweight scrap between Ashley Yoder (6-4) vs. Syuri Kondo (6-2), another women’s flyweight fight between Ariane Lipski (11-4) vs. Molly McCann (8-2) and a bantamweight bout between Andre Ewell (13-5) vs. Anderson dos Santos (20-7) have all been confirmed for the event.
The entire card will go down June 22 at the Secours Wellness Arena.
