A heavily tattooed torture murderer beheaded his cellmate, severed his spine and plucked out his eyes after torturing him with a razor blade.
Jaime Osuna, 31, is facing the death penalty after he admitted to the sadistic killing of Louis Romero, 44, who was found horrifically mutilated in their shared cell at Corcoran State Prison in California on March 9.
Prison officials said Romero was conscious for a ‘portion of the crime’ that left his spine cut in two places, his eyes detached and stabbed, and his left lung partially removed.
Kings County Assistant District Attorney Phil Esbenshade detailed the torturous murder and said: ‘In this case; one of the victim’s fingers was severed, a body part was cut out, his eye was removed and his head was decapitated.’
He continued: ‘It was a very gruesome case, certainly the most gruesome case I have seen in my career.’
The edges of Romero’s mouth was sliced to extend more than two inches in each direction, according to the prison report.
A square-shaped chunk was cut out of his chest and the underlying rib section was also removed. Investigators say Romero died of blood loss.

Osuna had been serving life in prison without parole for the torture murder of Yvette Pena, 36, at a California motel in 2011.
During his trial, he reportedly showed no remorse, giving the judge a thumbs up and smirked at his victim’s distraught family.
Romera was serving life in prison as well for a second-degree murder charge he was convicted of in Los Angeles in 1993.
Osuna has now been charged with torture, murder, mayhem, and weapons possession.

He was also charged with throwing blood at a prison guard earlier this year.
