A criminal who grinned ‘like a Cheshire Cat’ on his police mugshot has been jailed for six months.
Kevin Boot, 39, breached a restraining order by sending a Facebook message to his victim about their children.
Commenting on a picture on the victim’s page, he wrote: ‘Good memories. Beautiful kids. I’m sorry things didn’t work out.
‘You’re a good mum. I’m a good dad. Let’s make sure the kids don’t end up in care.’
Boot, from Alvaston in Derbyshire, admitted one charge of breaching the order after sending a Facebook message to his victim.
A court heard Book had breached previous restraining orders several times before this incident.
He was jailed for 26 weeks when he appeared at Southern Derbyshire Magistrates’ Court on Friday.
After he was sentenced, his mugshot was released which showed him grinning from ear-to-ear.
Twitter users were quick to slam Boot, mocking him for his ‘ridiculous mug’.
User Jon Evans said: ‘Bet he’s not smiling like a Cheshire Cat now!’
Adele Jackson posted: ‘Deserved to be jailed for that ridiculous mug alone!’
