Geordie Shore’s Ricci Guarnaccio makes acting debut in Australian horror film Boar after quitting reality show
GEORDIE Shore’s Ricci Guarnaccio has made his acting debut in Australian horror film Boar after quitting reality show.
The 32-year-old has swapped the small screen for the big screen since moving Down Under, playing Oscar in the film which sees an Australian town terrorised by a killer boar.
While Ricci quit Geordie Shore in 2013, he credits the MTV show’s popularity in Oz for helping him establish his new acting career.
He told The Hollywood News: “I moved there in 2016 and I’m gonna move back over there next year. It’s just such a beautiful place, I love it.
“But to get Boar, I was touring Australia and I met the director on set there.
“He was, ‘I’d love to get you involved in something one day’, and then because I moved over he was saying, ‘Let’s get Ricci in the film, let’s get Ricci in the film. We’ve got to kill him off!’
“So I had a few meetings with them and got the script, and went and did acting classes with a coach for four months.”
Ricci – who was engaged to Vicky Pattison during his time on Geordie Shore – isn’t against making a return to TV, and would love to star in one of Australia’s biggest soaps.
He continued: “I would love to jump into something like Neighbours or Home and Away. I just feel like they’d be really enjoyable to do.
“Reality TV will always be there, always. But I think acting for me at 31/32… so I think for longevity it would be something good to go into.”

Ricci has been keeping his fans up to date on the film, writing on Instagram: “Hey guys, I am super Excited and even more proud to announce that BOAR will be officially distributed in the USA (North America) by the legendary company that brings you “The Walking Dead, Fear the Walking Dead” and so much more….
