AFTER finding the dress of your dreams and booking the picture-perfect venue, tracking down your ideal wedding cake is another top priority for brides.
But while most couples these days tend to chose fancy flavours over traditional fruitcakes, one pair of newlyweds have taken matters to new extremes with a design featuring their fake decapitated heads.
It may not be to our taste but this wedding cake designer deserves a medal for this grotesque creation[/caption]
And let’s just say, it’s given new meaning to the vow “till death do us part”.
The couple’s, erm, memorable design was shared on the Facebook group That’s It, I’m Wedding Shaming where users were quick to label it “horrifying”.
But personally, we can’t decide if it’s the most grotesque cake we’ve ever seen or the most impressive thing a professional baker has ever pulled off.
One user wrote: “Thanks I HATE it.”
Another critic added: “These are cringey.”
Meanwhile, a third joked: “Nothing says love like severed heads…”
In awe of the intricate design, one user wrote: “DEFINITELY not my cup of tea but holy cow these are amazing.”
Love it or loathe it, turns out the incredible design was thought up by Texas-based Sideserf Cake Studio back in 2013 for newlyweds Dave and Natalie who married just days before Halloween.
Which makes sense considering the gory gashes and (less than appetising) pools of fake blood…
For more wedding horror stories, this bride who wore a bizarre wedding dress made of BALLOONS has been teased for looking like the Michelin Man.
And this bride-to-be has been labelled “ride” for refusing to provide ANY food for guests on her wedding day.
Plus this bride has been urged to burn her “trainwreck” wedding dress with an exposed middle as it would “only flatter someone with Elle McPherson’s body”.
