NIGEL Farage’s new Brexit party could WIN the European elections as voters punish the Tories for the ongoing chaos around Leaving the EU.
Fresh polling from YouGov puts the top Brexiteer’s new party ahead of Labour and the Tories on 27 per cent.
Labour are on just 22 per cent, down several percentage points, and the Tories slumped down to 15. Ukip have had a boost to seven per cent too.
YouGov’s Political Research Manager, Chris Curtis, said it was “entirely plausible” that Mr Farage’s party could spark a huge upset.
He wrote in the Guardian today: “It is entirely plausible that we are facing another Farage-shaped upset at the ballot box.
“While there are more than five weeks of campaigning to go, I certainly wouldn’t bet against him.”
He led Ukip to win the last Euro polls in 2014 ahead of the Brexit vote in 2016.
And last week Mr Farage officially launched his own Brexit Party, vowing to fight for a proper EU exit that didn’t betray the British people.
He managed to persuade Jacob Rees-Mogg’s sister Annunziata to leave the Tories and join his new venture.
Telling a rally in Coventry it would be “no more Mr Nice Guy” he claimed his former party had been taken over by the far-right, and that he would even win a general election if the PM did a soft Brexit deal with Labour.
Theresa May has said she doesn’t want to take part in the EU elections and will try to push a deal through before then.
She’s in talks with Labour to try and reach a compromise deal.

But today experts warned that she’s run out of time and has “no chance” of getting it all sorted before the middle of May.
Tories are concerned they won’t be able to get the money needed to fight the polls either.
