Inmate brutally beaten by prisoners in shocking video filmed inside jail

This is the moment a prisoner slips over on the blood covered floor as he’s attacked by fellow inmates.

The clip, which was filmed on a prisoner’s mobile phone, shows the victim surrounded by attackers who pummel him with kicks and punches.

The brutal assault took place at HMP Onley on Sunday and was uploaded to Facebook but has since been taken down by prison authorities.

A prison service spokesman said the men involved have been punished and that the matter is likely to be dealt with internally rather than by police.

He added: ‘We do not tolerate the use of mobile phones in prisons.

‘The account has been removed from Facebook and those involved have been punished.

‘Anyone found with a mobile phone faces extra time behind bars, we are spending millions on security measures such as body scanners and £2 million to detect and block phones being used in prison.’

It is not known why the attack took place or what punishment the perpetrators will receive.

It isn’t the first time violence hasn’t been filmed in HMP Onley in Rugby, Warwickshire and shared with the outside world.
