Delivery driver caught sipping milkshake before giving to child who ordered it
A delivery driver was caught sipping a 14-year-old boy’s milkshake moments before giving it to the teen.
The unidentified Doordash employee was busted after a doorbell camera captured him sucking on the milkshake as he approached his customers’ Stockton, California home earlier this month.
Rajesh Malhotra ordered the frozen treat for his teenage son Rishab from dessert restaurant Cold Stone Creamery – but had no idea what the driver did until he checked the cameras the next day.
‘I looked at it, (and thought) “Hey, the guy who delivered the food was sipping out of my son’s Cold Stone,”‘ Rajesh told Fox 40.
‘That’s crazy, I mean, how can someone jeopardize the product like that, especially the food.’
Curiosity almost killed the cat who got her head stuck in jarThe teen enjoyed his cookies-and-cream milkshake, blissfully unaware that it had been in a grown man’s mouth, but felt repulsed when he discovered what happened.
‘My dad told me to check out the video from last night and once I checked it out I brushed five, six times. I felt really disgusted,’ Rishab said.
Rajesh said that he often buys delivery items and food through Doordash, but this experience has caused him to think twice about ordering at home.
‘We have trust between the company and drivers. Once that trust is broken, we can’t go back,’ he said, adding that all he wants is an apology and guarantee it will not happen again.
‘They just need proper training and then an apology, “Hey, what you did was wrong.’ And we want to make sure he doesn’t do that to other people,’
Rajesh reported the incident to Doordash the next day and sent video evidence of his claims – which was two weeks ago. They are still waiting on a response, Rajesh said.
