Tractor diver killed in Bhojpur road accident
BHOJPUR: A person died and two others sustained injuries after a tractor they were travelling on veered off the road in Amchok Rural Municipality-9 of Bhojpur district on Friday night.
The deceased has been identified as Bhavindra Rai (25) of Amchok -4 and the injured as driver assistants Hari Khatri (35) of Bardibas Municipality in Mahottari district and Shankar Karki (48) of Amchok-1.
According to Police Inspector Pandav Rajbanshi at Bhojpur District Police Office, the tractor (Na 5 Ta 9432) laden with grocery items heading towards Balakha from Ranitar ran out of control and fell 80 metres below the road killing the tractor driver on the spot, in Dummana area, at around 8:30 pm yesterday.
A team of police under the command of Assistant Sub Inspector of Police (ASI) deployed from Balakha-based police post reached the incident site for the inspection.
Inspector Rajbanshi said that Khatri sustained injuries to several parts of his body while Karki has suffered right elbow dislocation in the fatal incident.
Meanwhile, Khatri is receiving treatment at local health facility while Karki has been referred to Dharan-based BP Koirla Institute of Health Sciences.
