I haven't been involved in a civil matter in a long time, thank goodness, and the last time I was there was no such thing as Facebook (it was a better time) or social media.
If you've been involved in a civil case recently, did anyone ask to see your social media posts during discovery? Did you have to list your accounts? Did you have to provide (horrors) your login details?
No, I'm not involved in anything like that. But sometimes when I'm thinking about posting something, I wonder if that could ever come back to bite me if I end up in court.
And there's the standard warning here against posting the details of an accident. How would the opposing attorney get their hands on your posts in that case?
