Chicago Fire 2-Seattle Sounders 4
Road goals, let alone road points are often hard to come by in Major League Soccer. So while Saturday’s match against the Chicago Fire might have been seen as a foregone conclusion to some to the Sounders it was still anyone’s game. On Saturday at Toyota Park Seattle made sure that they took care of business early, putting in three early goals to help them coast to a 4-2 win.
The Sounders took the lead thanks to goals from Victor Rodriguez (8′), Jordan Morris (15′), and Nicolas Lodeiro (49′). Raheem Edwards (56′) and Fabian Herbers (84′) pulled the Fire back to within one late. But Raul Ruidiaz slammed the door on any hopes for a comeback with his strike in the 88th minute.
