Boy rescued from collapsed three-storey building in Lagos, Nigerians rejoice (video)

Earlier, Legit.ng reported that a number of school children have been reportedly killed after a three-storey school building collapsed in Itafaji, Lagos Island on Wednesday, March 13. It was also said that about 69 children are feared to still be trapped within the structure which has been razed down by unknown circumstances.

Well, news reaching Legit.ng has it that one school boy has been rescued from the rubbles of the collapsed structure. The boy who was rescued hours into the incident was brought out triumphantly by rescuers.

A crowd of people who had already gathered at the site of the collapse were overjoyed to see the boy hale and hearty and they rejoiced in unison at his rescue. The yet to be identified pupil was lifted up by Nigerians and many sang songs of praises.

Adetutu Balogun, a Nigerian, took to Twitter to share a video showing the rescued boy and the extent of joy many expressed at his being alive. The lady who was equally happy about the rescue of the school child had one or two things to say about it. She particularly pointed out that many pupils were still trapped in the building.

A lot of Nigerians have taken to expressing happiness about the rescue of the boy on Twitter. However, while some were jubilant about his being saved, others could not help but express concern about how the massive crowd gathered at the site of the collapse.

They feared that the commotion caused by the crowded people will disrupt the rescue activities being carried out. See some of the reactions below:
