45 parties endorse Gombe APC governorship candidate, give reason

- No fewer than 45 political parties have endorsed the APC governorship candidate in Gombe, Alhaji Muhammad Inuwa Yahaya

- The parties said they decided to endorse Yahaya because he is the most qualified candidate among the contesting candidates

- The parties, therefore, urged all their supporters and the entire electorate in the state to vote for the APC governorship candidate

Forty five opposition parties in Gombe state under the auspices of Interparty Advisory Council (IPAC) have reportedly endorsed the gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Alhaji Muhammad Inuwa Yahaya.

According to Daily Trust, the chairmen of the 45 political parties said they decided to endorse the APC governorship candidate after wide consultations.

Legit.ng gathers that this was made known in a signed statement issued to newsmen on Tuesday, March 5.

“After series of meetings, we the undersigned 45 political parties have unanimously agreed to keep our personal interest aside and adopted Muhammad Inuwa Yahaya of the APC for the March 9 governorship election in Gombe state,” the statement read.

The IPAC added that they adopted the APC’s gubernatorial candidate because he is the most qualified candidate among the 30 candidates contesting the governorship seat in the state.

They, therefore, urged their supporters and electorate to cast their votes for Inuwa Yahaya to ensure a meaningful development of the state.

The IPAC also called on people of the state to come out and vote for candidate of their choice in the Saturday’s state assembly elections without fear of intimidation.

Some of the political parties that signed the statement are; Accord Party, DPP, ADC ACD, AD, MPN, CAP, BNPP, APA, AA, MMN, ANP, PPC, HDP, UPN, NCP, UPP, NCMP and PAC among others.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that ahead of the governorship and state assembly elections coming up on Saturday, March 9, the Buhari New Media Centre (BNMC), a platform focused on President Muhammadu Buhari’s campaign and media perception online, had expressed a 100% commitment to the successful election of all the state governors contesting on the APC platform.
