Black excellence: Teenager gains admission to 31 universities and N333.3m in scholarships

Education is undoubtedly important and many regard it as a great achievement seeing as some people break down in their bid to get quality knowledge.

Despite the tough ride in school, some people have managed to not just emerge victorious but also achieve great feats.

Legit.ng recently gathered the report of a young teenager, Kayla Willis, who has gained admission to 31 universities as well as $925,000 (N333.3 million) in scholarship offers.

The young girl from Georgia took to her Twitter page to share the good news and also show off her achievements.

According to her, she was encouraged to post her success on social media after a friend urged her to show the world how great she is.

Kayla had shared a photo showing all the universities she was admitted to.

Interestingly, the senior at Westlake High School in Atlanta did not have to pay any costly application fee before getting accepted.

In an interview with Fox 5, she revealed that she did not want to limit herself as she also wondered how she could go to school for free.

Kayla said: “My goal was to have options. I didn’t want to limit myself. I also asked the question, how can I go to school for free?”

“I’m here to encourage. If you are proactive and persevere, you can achieve any goal.”

The young girl has also selected her choice of university. She revealed that she chose to attend Fisk University.

Meanwhile Legit.ng previously reported that a 15-year-old girl has been celebrated on social media after she scored 305 in her JAMB exams and nine distinctions in her WAEC.

According to @tweetoracle, the young girl identified as Ikeoluwa Abioye had been able to get all distinctions in her West African Examination Council, including her mathematics and English exam.

The Twitter user also noted that Abioye had also scored 305 over 400 in her her Joint Admissions Matriculation Board exam.

He wrote: "Let's celebrate 15 yr old Ikeoluwa Abioye, a genius in the making."
