Ratings: ‘Titan Games’ Hits 4-Week High With Finale, but Historic ‘Grey’s’ Episode Tops Thursday

With “The Big Bang Theory” and “Young Sheldon” in reruns, the history-making 332nd episode of “Grey’s Anatomy” had an easy path to be Thursday’s No. 1 show.

While the Ellen Pompeo series — which just surpassed “E.R.” to become the longest-running medical drama ever — carried ABC’s full primetime lineup to a first place finish in demo ratings, CBS was still the most-watched network of the night.

Over on NBC, the season finale to Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson’s “Titan Games” competition posted a four-week high in Nielsen numbers. There were two other season finales during the night — ABC concluded “A Million Little Things” and “How to Get Away With Murder” on Thursday.

NBC and Fox settled for a third-place tie in the key demo last night, ranking just behind CBS among adults 18-49.

ABC was first in ratings with a 1.1 rating/5 share in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic and second in total viewers with an average of 5.1 million, according to preliminary numbers. “Grey’s” at 8 p.m. posted a 1.6/8 and 7 million viewers. “A Million Little Things” at 9 had a 1.1/5 and 5.3 million viewers. At 10, “How to Get Away With Murder” got a 0.6/3 and 2.8 million viewers.

CBS was second in ratings with a 0.8/4 and first in viewers with 5.8 million. Sandwiched between repeats, an original “Fam” at 9:30 received a 0.8/4 and 5.2 million viewers.

NBC and Fox tied for third in ratings, both with a 0.7/3. NBC was third in total viewers with 3 million, Fox was fourth with 2.7 million.

For NBC, “The Titan Games” at 8 had a 1.0/5 and 4.4 million viewers. “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” at 9 got a 0.7/3 and 2.4 million viewers. At 9:30, “Will & Grace” received a 0.6/3 and 2.4 million viewers. A rerun followed.

For Fox, “Gotham” at 8 had a 0.6/3 and 2.3 million viewers. “The Orville” at 9 got a 0.8/3 and 3.1 million viewers.

Univision and Telemundo tied for fifth in ratings, both with a 0.4/2. Univision was fifth in total viewers with 1.3 million, Telemundo was sixth with 1.1 million.

The CW was seventh in ratings with a 0.2/1 and in viewers with 754,000. Following a rerun, “Legacies” at 9 received a 0.3/1 and 857,000 viewers.
