Breaking: FG opens land borders after presidential and National Assembly elections
- FG has reopened land boarders across Nigeria after presidential and NASS election
- The government had ordered the close of all boarders prior to the commencement of the 2019 general election

The federal government has opened land borders across the country after the conduct of the presidential and National Assembly election.
Legit.ng reports that on its official twitter page, the Nigeria Immigration said that the passengers' clearance exercise resumed at Jibia border control post, following the re-opening of all the land borders by noon on Sunday, February 24.

The government agency also noted that the movement activities resumed at Kongolam, Seme and Baban Mutum border control posts following government's directives for re-opening after the 2019 presidential and National Assembly elections.
The statement read: "Passengers' clearance exercise resumes at Jibia Border Control Post following the re-opening of all the Land Borders by noon today.
''Movement activities resume at Kongolam, Seme and Baban Mutum Border Control Posts following government's directives for re-opening after the 2019 Presidential/NASS Elections.''
Meanwhile, Legit.ng had previously reported that the Ogun command of Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) deployed enough personnel to assist the police in the conduct of the elections on Saturday, February 23.

It was reported that Abdullahi Maiwada, the public relations officer of NCS in Ogun, said that the deployment of personnel was to complement the efforts of the police during the elections.
