Bold Perennial now Bold Group
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—Bold Perennial has formally changed its name to Bold Group in the wake of the recent acquisitions of SIMS Inc. and SGS. The new moniker was announced last week to attendees of the SedonaOffice Users Conference (SOUC) in Marco Island, Fla.
“The decision is really a practical one of inclusion,” company President Rod Coles explained in the announcement. “Now that we are expanding beyond the two core companies that originally formed Bold Perennial, and there are possibilities for further expansion in the future, it made sense to create a name that was more inclusive of all the brands that make this company strong.”
Bold Group introduced its new logo at the 2019 SOUC and will be rolling out new marketing materials, including a new website, over the next few weeks. The company will also have increased presence at ISC West this year, exhibiting stages, Manitou, SIMS, and SedonaOffice in booth 14109 for central stations and enterprise customers, and focusing on dealer solutions with the AlarmBiller platform in booth 21131.
After the acquisition of SIMS in December, Coles Looking into 2019, Coles said that the company will be seeking more acquisitions and strong organic growth while improving its cloud offerings. “We’ll be looking to put a huge amount of investment into our cloud infrastructure.”
Coles told Security Systems News after the EverCommerce acquisition of SGS that 2019 will be a year of consolidation.
“We will be focusing on leveraging a lot of the assets we have purchased and how best to use them across all of our customer base,” he said. “This is really a case of the sum of the whole being greater than the sum of its parts. Not only have we acquired three great Alarm Automation products in Stages, Manitou and SIMS, we have the two industry leading back office products of SedonaOffice and AlarmBiller.”
