Jon Benjamin marks actor John Dumelo's birthday with wild prophecy on actor's political future

Former British High Commissioner to Ghana, Jon Benjamin, has wished Ghanaian actor John Dumelo well on his birthday in a very uncharacteristic fashion.

The celebrated actor turned 35 years old on Sunday, February 3, 2019. Many people including Dumelo's wife wished him well with sweet messages on his special occasion.

One of the most notable messages came from the British diplomat who brought a message which could be described as a prophetic prediction about the actor.

In a reply to photo Dumelo posted on Twitter to mark the birthday, Jon Benjamin predicted that the actor will become Ghana's president in about 10 years.

“A very happy birthday to my friend @johndumelo1.I hope this message is enough to score me an invitation to his inauguration as President in a decade or so," he tweeted.

While it has often been reported that Dumelo has presidential ambitions, it is quite curious that the prediction is coming from the former British High Commissioner.

Known as an adversary of the actor on Twitter, Benjamin almost always disagrees with anything John Dumelo says and finds every opportunity to troll him on social media.

Even on Dumelo's wedding day in May 2018, the diplomat who carved a name for himself as a controversial person while in Ghana did not cease fire as he trolled him very well with his message of congratulations.

With such a history between them, many on social media have brushed off Benjamin's prediction saying it is sarcasm.

Happy belated birthday, John.

Meanwhile, Dumelo marked his birthday in a special way.

The Ghanaian actor took to his social media page to share the unusual and emotional way he had celebrated the opportunity to witness another year on earth.

He visited the Okponglo area of East Legon where he had met with some widows and joined them in celebrating the occasion of his 35th birthday.
