MARION, Ind. – Indiana Wesleyan University men’s tennis has announced the signing of Isaac Steiner for the 2019-20 season.
Steiner is from Leo High School near Fort Wayne, Indiana. He teamed with Eli Herran and the doubles team won the Indiana State Doubles championship in October. Steiner comes to Indiana Wesleyan ranked No. 215 in the nation and No. 3 in the state of Indiana, according to tennisrecruiting.net. Isaac is the younger brother to current Wildcat Eli.
“Isaac is a fantastic tennis player,” said Wildcat head coach Eddy Shigley. “He will help us right away in both singles and doubles. We might even experiment with the Steiner brothers playing doubles together. We feel very blessed to have Isaac in the Wildcat Family. He is a great tennis player as well as a terrific mission match for us.”
Steiner is the son of Mike and Lynne Steiner. He plans on majoring in Christian Ministries and following God’s call upon his life at Indiana Wesleyan. Steiner is involved in various activities at Leo High School, church, and Campus Life, which his father Mike is the director of at Leo High School.
