Man United star completes permanent switch to Chinese Super League club

Manchester United have confirmed Marouane Fellaini’s switch to Shandong Luneng Taishan FC in China on a permanent transfer.
In a statement in the club’s official website, the Red Devils applauded the Belgium international, who arrived Old Trafford from Everton in August 2013.

“Everybody at United thanks Marouane for his service and wishes him well for the future as he completes his move to Shandong Luneng Taishan FC in China,” the release read in part.
Interestingly, during his five-and-a-half seasons at ‘Theater of Dreams’ Fellaini netted 22 times as he claimed four trophies - the Emirates FA Cup, FA Community Shield, League Cup and UEFA Europa League with the Red Devils.

Although, he establish himself as an integral member of former boss, Jose Mourinho's, squad.
He has not had a rosy journey under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer who now appears to prefer a midfield trio of Ander Hererra, Nemanja Matic and Paul Pogba.
He becomes the second Belgian in the Premier League to complete a move to China after ex-Spurs' star Mousa Dembele.

The Belgium international's current deal with the Red Devils will expire in the summer of 2020 after signing a contract extension with the club under Jose Mourinho. Fellaini joined United from Everton in 2013 in a deal valued around £29.16 million and was highly instrumental under former managers.
