January 29, 2019 [A Year in SF Bay]
Cloudy morning on the bay, new storm evidently approaching from offshore. Conditions remain calm, but a tad chilly. Swam out to the not the flag but a bouy with thermometer & it showed 51-52 degrees.
Nice swim began at 7:45, out to not flag, over to the boats at about 20 minutes, then with the ebb came back in at 42 minutes. Lots of company today as there was a “Sun-riser Swim,” so boats went out by Alcatraz and about 20 people jumped in and swam back.
One of the boats that took people out was just coming up the dock when I started the video.
