Kris Letang competes tonight in accuracy
Let’s use this as a thread if anyone is around tonight for the skills competition and wants to talk with your pals on Pensburgh. The event starts at 9 PM Eastern time.
Unfortunately, there won’t be any Sidney Crosby tonight, as is was announced earlier in the afternoon that the Penguins captain will have to bow out of the festivities tonight due to illness. As of now, Crosby is anticipating playing in the actual All-Star game tomorrow, bummer the weather and out tonight.
That leaves Pittsburgh’s other representative as the lone Penguin to compete tonight in Kris Letang. Letang will be going in the accuracy shooting competition, which seems like a nice departure from the passing accuracy drills that he usually gets tabbed to do. Letang’s competition for the event is Drew Doughty, Nikita Kucherov, Auston Matthews, David Pastranak, Blake Wheeler and the hometown Shark Joe Pavelski. Matthews especially can be a guy to beat in this competition so it’ll be fun to see how it unfolds.
