Seven emergency warnings remain in place across Tasmania following nearly 60 blazes burning across the state. A large scale bushfire disaster appears to have been avoided with cooler conditions sweeping through fire affected regions, however authorities are still advising residents to remain vigilant with the total fire bans in effect until Monday. Central Plateau remains one of the worst affected areas The blaze has already destroyed more than 71,000 hectares in the region.
