Premier League defending champions Manchester City have reportedly ended their quest to sign Real Madrid sitar Isco in the ongoing winter transfer window.
According to 90 minutes report citing ESPN, the 26-year-old Spanish international’s stay at the Santiago Bernabeu is under threat, with club boss Santiago Solari failing to consider the midfielder for selection since his arrival.

At the last count, the trio of Juventus, Chelsea and Arsenal have been repeatedly linked with the 26-year-old playmaker, while City were still considering their options.
Interestingly, ESPN FC reports have also dismissed previous claims that City assistant manager Mikel Arteta was making inquiries about a potential deal for the Spaniard.

The Etihad dwellers have also ruled out bringing in new players this window after opting to beef up this squad in the summer.
And club manager Pep Guardiola will not be looking at his attacking midfield options but other areas when the summer window opens at the end of the season.

Interestingly, Isco was left on the subs bench in Los Blancos 2-1 win over Real Betis on Sunday, with Solari handing ex-City forward Brahim Diaz a debut during the encounter.
