Though Stacey Abrams and Andrew Gillum lost their respective elections, their impressive showings and massive popularity have made them must-calls for Democrats looking to jump into the fray.
According to a Wednesday Politico report, the two have been fielding calls from Democratic contenders hoping to win their support and that of their supporters in Georgia and Florida, two states that would greatly ease any candidate’s path to the White House.
Abrams and Gillum are also young, progressive, minority lawmakers who could be considered for the number two spot on a presidential ticket.
