Watch: Newcomers will provide more quality, says Qormi's Muscat
Despite having a daunting task awaiting them to salvage their top-flight status in the second round of the BOV Premier League, Qormi coach Mario Muscat is not disheartened by what he has seen so far.
He believes that the winter transfer window can be the turning point their 2018/2019 campaign.
“If these players repay us with their performances, we can surely reach our goals.” Muscat explained.
“We are still in search of a Maltese player and a forward, who could be a foreign one, in order to have a complete squad.”
Moreover, Muscat is also ready to start integrate as much youth players as possible with Qormi already injecting a blend of youth into their team namely Yannick Yankam and Tensior Gusman.
"We look forward to nurture our youth products in order to give them as much playing time as possible, so that we can expand our pool of players as well."
Meanwhile, one of the newcomers at Qormi is Italian forward Antonio Rozzi.
The 24-year-old has an impressive curriculum, having been at the Real Madrid academy and making also a handful of appearances with Lazio in the Serie A and the UEFA Europa League.
