The Oregon Ducks lead the historic first 2024 College Football Playoff rankings where 12 teams will vie for a chance at a national championship.
Dan Lanning’s undefeated Ducks sit atop the rankings, while the Ohio State Buckeyes are right behind them at the second spot and the Georgia Bulldogs round out the top three.
We also saw contenders like the Texas Longhorns, Miami Hurricanes and Penn State Nittany Lions ranked among the top 10.
The 12-team playoff will draw from these rankings, even if the top 12 teams on this list aren’t all guaranteed a spot in the final field. As always, this list is subject to change as the season goes on.
