The opening weekend of hockey has been and gone, we managed to miss most of the rain ! Here are our teams results -

Storage King Premier Men went down 3 nil to Collegians.
Be Active Fitness Premier Women ended up with a 2-2 draw, although they had the majority of the possession and territory they weren't able to get the win, conceding a goal in the last minute.

All the teams have been announced and by now you should have received a message about selections. If you haven't yet received a text or email then please get in touch with us - your details may have been entered incorrectly which means we haven't been able to contact you.

WOMEN Sunday 5th March at Gallagher Hockey Centre.
Please be there by 5:30pm to register and warm up ready to be on the turf by 6pm.

MEN Sunday 5th March at Gallagher Hockey Centre.
Please be there by 6:30pm to register and warm up ready to be on the turf by 7pm.

Congrats to our Premier Men who secured 3rd place in the Premier 5's Tournament! This was an exciting weekend of hockey with teams from Auckland and Tauranga competing.

Waikato University Hockey are excited to announce our new Premier coaches for the 2017 season.

We hope everyone is getting excited for the 2017 Hockey season to kick off! Here are some key dates to remember:

Join us for a pre-season hit around and a casual game to blast the cobwebs from the system before trials. We all know the pain after the first game of the season... so get it over and done with so you've got your A game cranking for trials when it is most important!

Varsity Hockey invites all new and returning players to attend their first trial of 2017! We have teams available for all levels of hockey. If you're interested in playing and can't make it to either of our trials please let us know.

New and returning players of all ability are welcome.

Women  please be there at 2.30 pm to sign in and warm up, Turf time kicking off at 3 pm.

Men  please be there at 5 pm to sign in and warm up, Turf time kicking off at 5.30 pm.

If you want to play for Waikato University Hockey Club in 2016 but cannot attend the trials than please email info@varsityhockey.co.nz and our club captains will get in touch.
