THE Teen Mom 2 season reunion was going just fine – until Dr. Drew Pinsky asked about Kailyn Lowry.
The reality star was absent from the reunion couch, and her name brought up different reactions from the remaining Moms – including storming off the set by Ashley Jones and Leah Messer.
It all started when Dr. Drew addressed the fact that Kailyn, who left the show midseason, was absent from the reunion stage.
“So Kail didn’t want to do this reunion in person,” Drew noted turning his attention to Leah. “Any idea why that would be?”
As Leah responded that she had no idea, Jade Cline broke out in laughter, answering for her.
“We have an idea,” Jade stated flatly. “They don’t get along.”

Jade was referring to Kail and Briana DeJesus, who was at the reunion weeks after defeating Kailyn’s defamation lawsuit in court.
Briana agreed: “She’ll never sit next to me on the couch,” she admitted. “Never.”
Leah went on to explain that she hasn’t been talking to Kailyn much since she left the show.
Drew then tried to dig deeper into an apparent riff between the two that started at the Teen Mom Family Reunion, but didn’t get far.
“She (Kailyn) was upset about a self growth post,” Leah explained. “But as far as anything other than that, I have no idea.”
As she was finishing her answer, Ashley suddenly stood up and walked off the set.
On her way out, she told Drew: “I’m going to let you all talk about Kail without me, cause I don’t wannna be in none of that s**t.”
Leah quickly joined her, simply saying on her way out: “I agree.”
Briana seemed to smirk as the two ladies left the stage, asking Dr. Drew what he would really like to know.
Then Briana speculated there may be more to the situation than viewers know: “I think Kail no longer wants to be Leah’s friend because Leah’s nice to me.
“That’s what it comes down to.”
Briana then revealed she had a conversation with Leah backstage, moments before the reunion show.
“I said, ‘Hey, if you want a friendship with Kail, like, me and you don’t have to be friends. I don’t even have to look at you. We can keep distance, if you worship that friendship with Kail. And that was it.'”
While she may not have been on the couch, Kailyn was watching the preview at home, and responded on Instagram: “I have never been upset with Leah for going on TMFR.
“In fact, I supported her, and told her to go and collect her check.”
Hours after that, Ashley spoke up, revealing she actually left in a show of support for the absent Kailyn, after she felt she was ambushed by Dr. Drew’s question.
In an emotional Instagram post, Ashley explained, in all caps: “Let me make something extremely clear. I would never sit in a room and be silent while my friend is being chopped, for that purpose I removed myself.
“It’s not about control. It’s about loyalty.
“Kail was there via Zoom, why wasn’t she present for this segment?
“It’s messy. Period.”
There certainly is no love lost between Kailyn and Briana.
Last June, Kailyn filed a defamation suit against her nemesis, but it recently came to an end, with Briana as the victor.
On Friday, Briana shared an inside look at the party she threw in honor of her big win.
The first clip she posted was of a batch of $20 bills on her couch, with a few more raining down on top as Rihanna’s lyrics, “b***h better have my money,” played in the background.
This moment comes as Briana’s been demanding that Kailyn cover her legal fees, over $120,000, from their defamation lawsuit.
In another video, Briana wore just a black sports bra and short shorts as she partied with friends in a pink-decorated room.
She gave a big smile as she sat on a large blow-up animal and yelled: “Case closed!”
In the back, Briana had balloon arches set up, as well various pink backgrounds, with the words “case closed” were spelled out in gold on one of them.
On a glass shelf, she had big pink blocks with flowers all over them that spelled out “Winner,” along with what looked to be a cookie that said “Bye hoe,” seemingly calling out Kailyn.
Jade was in attendance at the shindig and shared a clip of everything being set up, saying “It’s a party!”
Kailyn and Briana have been feuding for years, but it escalated last summer when the mom of four sued her rival for defamation after she claimed the star “physically beat” her baby daddy Chris Lopez.
Briana claimed in court papers that her co-star didn’t appear on an episode of their MTV series last season because she didn’t want to discuss the arrest, which was later dropped, on camera.
Kailyn hit back that she refused to film because she wanted to keep a romantic relationship private.
In Kailyn’s initial complaint against Briana filed, her legal team claimed that her co-star’s comments are false and were made “for the purpose of causing Lowry harm.”
The court papers continued: “Defendant used Lowry to gain additional media attention for herself.”
Kailyn then went into their long-standing feud in the court papers filed last June 25, which began when Briana joined Teen Mom 2 in 2017.
Kailyn claimed Briana “has a history of making false public statements regarding Lowry’s family life,” including when she allegedly responded to a Twitter user “[Lowry] gets beat the f**k up by Chris in front of her kids.”
The lawsuit recently came to an end after Briana filed for the case to be dismissed and the judge agreed.
Now, Briana has vowed to fight back against Kailyn after their court battle landed her with big legal fees.
As such, Kailyn has hired a high-powered lawyer after her nemesis Briana demanded she pay her legal bills.
The Sun can exclusively reveal the battle isn’t over yet, as Kailyn filed a notice of appearance for new lead lawyer Christopher A. Aguirre of the Trembly Law Firm located in Miami, Florida.
Meanwhile, Part 1 of the Teen Mom 2 finale airs tomorrow night at 8p on MTV.
