MCDONALD’S fans have slammed the new Spicy McNuggets as “disappointing” and “the biggest let down”.
The fast food chain launched the new flavour of chicken nuggets at 10:30am today but some fans already feel that they don’t live up to expectations.
The meal-time snacks, which are already a permanent fixture on the menu in Australia, have been made with a new specially developed recipe.
They also come with a Tabasco based dip for those who want an extra kick.
But as the lunch-time rush began, one customer rated the nuggs just three out of 10 as others complained that they weren’t even spicy.
David Hilston wrote on Twitter: “McDonald’s spicy chicken nuggets: disappointing. 3/10 would not recommend.”

Another said: “I can confirm them spicy nuggets taste like s***” and added that there “actually isn’t any taste to them”.
Nathan dubbed them “the biggest let down of my life”, while another said they were “nothing special at all”.
The fast food chain treated customers in Manchester to a sneak preview of the snacks on Sunday.
The free nuggs were only available for an hour and hundreds of fans were spotted queuing ahead of the sale.
Like normal McNuggets, the spicy version comes in boxes of six, nine or 20.
At 290 calories, they do contain more calories than a box of six classic nuggets which has 259 calories.

But not everyone has been disappointed by the meaty mains, with one customer claiming they are “very, very spicy”.

They cost the same as standard nuggets – £3.19 for six, £3.49 for nine, £4.99 for 20.
You won’t want to hang around if you want to try them though as they’re only being trialled for seven weeks.
McDonald’s has already tested them in the US, Asia and Australia.
A McDonald’s spokesperson told The Sun: “We’re delighted to launch our long-awaited Spicy McNuggets in the UK and Ireland, which have seen customers queue for hours to get their hands on a sneak preview box ahead of today.
“When eaten on their own, Spicy McNuggets provide a perfect hint of heat and this can be dialled up for spice lovers when paired with our new Tabasco-based spicy tomato dip.”
Last month, the fast food empire decided to drop the Fiery Buffalo Chicken Wrap from the menu because customers found it “too spicy”.
Instead, it’s replacing the Big Flavour Wrap with a new – and milder – Hot Cajun Chicken version.
It’s also given the bacon breakfast bun a hipster makeover, which will be made with a sourdough bun and three rashers of crispy bacon.
