The Red River Gorge Climbers' Coalition is a proud recipient of $40,000 granted by the Conservation Alliance in April 2017. As a stipulation for the grant, the RRGCC has pledged to match the funds by March 2018. This matching grant will be used to repay $80,000 of the $225,000 Access Fund Land Conservation Campaign loan that the RRGCC used to purchase the Bald Rock Recreational Preserve in December of 2016.

Another Rocktoberfest has come and gone and we are thrilled to announce that this year’s event was our most successful ever! With the help of the best climbing community in the world and all of our awesome sponsors, we raised over $40,000!! That is HUGE, because we have a $36,000 mortgage payment for the MFRP coming up. This year's Johnny and Alex Trail Day was a fantastic display of how amazing the climbing community in the Red River Gorge is. Despite the triple digit heat index, volunteers came out by the dozens to help work on the trails that bring climbers from all over the world to the classic routes the Red is famous for. We got a lot accomplished this year, and every volunteer should be proud of their work! Rocktoberfest 2016 is going to be better than ever, and will be held in a new location! This year, the best weekend of the fall (October 7–9) will be at Land of the Arches Campground in Campton, KY. There will be plenty of room to camp, hang out with friends, party, visit vendor booths, listen to music, play games, and support the RRGCC! Please remember that Bald Rock Fork Road (the road leading from 498 to the Motherlode/Flat Holler/Drive By parking lots) has a 10 MPH speed limit. Residents have noted that many visitors are driving much faster, creating an unhealthy level of dust for residents and a danger for children at play.
