Get into Watersports with GetWetNI
The GetWetNI campaign kicks off this month with the goal of bringing people into the extremely varied and unquestionably fun world of watersports. Running in partnership between SportNI and a range of water based National Governing Bodies, local clubs from all over Northern Ireland are opening their doors to showcase the amazing opportunities that often go unnoticed on people’s doorsteps. Dinghy sailing will recommence for competent sailors Saturday 1st May FOR 4 WEEKS.
Sailors will be required to be able to launch and recover on their own, be able to self rescue and have adequate experience for the wind conditions. The days sailing programme will be decided at the briefing subject to numbers and boat classes ie. laser, double-handers. Читать дальше...

Recent guidance has enabled the Club to recommence sailing and racing. We will provide updates on upcoming dates and procedures for getting back out onto the water shortly. A few of the key questions are answered below.
When can club racing restart?

Training Groups of 15
It has been confirmed that currently any activity (including recreational), where it is organised by an RYA affiliated club or centre, falls under this definition and can utilise groups of 15 (inclusive of coaches/ essential personnel). Читать дальше...

As announced today, restrictions for outdoor activity are set to ease from 1st April. This is very welcome news. Our understanding is that this should include boating activity, however, we await the issuing of the Regulations and guidance from the Department to understand implications in full.
