A rep for Nikki Garcia is speaking out for the first time following her husband Artem Chigvintsev‘s arrest.
On Thursday (August 29), the 42-year-old Dancing With the Stars pro was arrested on felony domestic violence charge in Napa, Calif.
The New York Post reports that there were injuries involved at the arrest scene, but the alleged victim’s identity has not been disclosed. Artem and Nikki, 40, were seemingly on vacation to celebrate their second wedding anniversary.

Nikki and Artem met when they competed as partners on season 25 of DWTS in 2017. They married in 2022 and share 4-year-old son Matteo.
Artem was arrested on Thursday morning and later released on a $25,000 bond. He was charged with Calif. penal code section 273.5 (a)PC, which is related to acts of violence against a spouse or other cohabitant.
Shortly after his arrest, Artem‘s mugshot was released.
