As Mardaani 2 celebrates its release anniversary, Yash Raj Films (YRF) officially announced the third part. Rani Mukerji is all set to return as the daredevil cop Shivani Shivaji Roy and shared her excitement of returning in the crime thriller. Rani revealed that they will be shooting for the third part in April 2025. She shared how special it feels to wear the police uniform and to receive the love for the same.
Further in this entertainment news, the actress added, "I'm proud to essay the character of this feisty cop again in Mardaani 3 as a tribute to all the unsung, brave, self-sacrificing cops who work tirelessly every single day to keep us safe." Rani Mukerji stated that they are hoping to find the right script for Mardaani 3 that would take the franchise a notch higher. She is aware of the expectation the audience has from her movie and wants to deliver the best.
Rani added, "We will do our best to live up to this. Mardaani 3 is dark, deadly, and brutal. So, I'm intrigued to find out the response of the people towards our film. I hope they shower this film with the same amount of love that they have always given."
The Railway Men's Aayush Gupta wrote the script of Mardaani 3. Abhiraj Minawala directed the third installment and has assisted YRF in movies like Band Baaja Baarat, Gunday, Jab Tak Hai Jaan, and Tiger 3.
