Being the star kid of a successful actor means you will always be compared with your parents. Actor Abhishek Bachchan has dealt with this often in his career. His father, Amitabh Bachchan, is one of India's biggest stars and is loved immensely for his movies, performances, and public appearances. Big B enjoys a massive fan following in India and in every state and has been ruling hearts for over 5 decades now. One might wonder how Abhishek or his family feels when he is compared to his father.
Recently, director Shoojit Sircar was appreciating Abhishek Bachchan as an actor. Their film I Want to Talk released in theatres last week, and many critics and audiences are in awe of Abhishek's performance; some even called it his career-best act. Sircar said in an interview that Abhishek steals your heart in the film. According to the director, there's a lot of Jaya Bachchan in the way he's acting in their latest movie.
"You will see her warmth and charm in his character in the film too. I remember Jayaji in a Satyajit Ray film standing near a wall and staring; you will find those stares in his eyes too," said the I Want to Talk director. Abhishek Bachchan was flattered to hear such good words from Sircar, who worked with his father Amitabh Bachchan in Piku.
Further in this entertainment news, Abhishek opened up on being compared to his father throughout his career and how his mom Jaya Bachchan reacts to the same. Abhishek told Bollywood Hungama that in 25 years of his career, there has been huge reference to his father and his amazing work, but not everyone attributed anything to his beautiful mother. The Dhoom actor was glad that Shoojit made the comparison and said his mother will be quite happy.
"She keeps saying, 'You're my son too.' I am not worthy of being spoken about in the same sentence as these great actors," said Abhishek.
