SALEM, Mass. (AP) — A Salem State University faculty member has been stabbed inside a campus building.
A school spokeswoman says police responded to Meier Hall around 5:15 p.m. Wednesday.
She says a faculty member was stabbed in the neck.
The victim, whose identity hasn't been released, was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The suspect fled and was caught about a block away. Police haven't released the suspect's name.
There's no word on a motive or possible charges.
The school says there's no threat to the public.
