Tengrinews.kz - On the morning of December 5, users of Kazakhstan's mobile operators Kcell and Activ reported disruptions in internet and mobile connectivity. The company attributed the issues to technical reasons.
Complaints have been received from subscribers in Almaty and Astana. Many reported that internet services and several applications, including the Kcell app, have been unavailable since morning.
"Activ’s internet is down across Astana. Calls to the 3030 support line are immediately dropped," one subscriber wrote.
On its official Instagram page, Activ responded to users' concerns, confirming that the disruptions were due to technical issues and that specialists were working to resolve them.
"There is currently a temporary delay in providing certain services. Responsible teams are addressing the issue. However, exact resolution timelines are unavailable," the company stated in its replies.
Earlier, Kcell announced upcoming price increases for tariff plans, citing the reasons behind the adjustments.
