Indian billionaires are second to none when to comes to opulence as is evident from the lavish display of wealth often showcased by Mukesh Ambani and his family. In the same vein as their counterparts living in India, Indian billionaires residing in Dubai, are also often in the news for showing off their lavish homes and super-expensive collection of cars.
One such Indian billionaire is Abu Sabah, who owns five Rolls-Royce cars, and reportedly paid Rs 80 crore for a fancy registration number for one of his Rolls-Royce. Abu Sabah, whose real name is Balvinder Sahni, is an Indian-born billionaire, who lives in a lavish $100 million mansion in Dubai, and paid Rs 80 crore for the number plate “D 5″, according to reports.
In a video shared by YouTuber Mo Vlogs, Sabah revealed that his luxurious mansion took three years to build.
Sabah boasts an expansive collection of luxury cars which would be the envy of any car enthusiast. His garage is adorned with two Rolls-Royce Cullinan SUVs, two Rolls-Royce Phantom VIIIs and a Black Badge Cullinan, which has a unique frosted green finish. But the crown jewel of Sabah’s collection is a magnificent glossy black Bugatti Chiron.
Though the billionaire’s cars are indeed very expensive, but surprisingly, the number plates these vehicles flaunt are several times costlier. In the video, the vlogger reveals that the “D5” number plate sported by Al Sabah’s Rolls Royce Phantom VIII was acquired by the billionaire for a whopping $9 million (around Rs 76 crore).
Balvinder Sahni, aka Al Sabah, reveals that the money from fancy registration number auctions goes to charity as the Dubai authorities donates all the proceeds from these auctions to charitable causes. “It’s a win-win situation,” he says.
Apart from the D5 plate, Sabah’s Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG flaunts the number “1” plate, while he also owns the “27” and “49″ registration plates for two of his vehicles. The billionaire also reveals that the first fancy number he bought was “48”.
Born Balvinder Sahni, Abu Sabah, as he is popularly known, is an Indian expat who is one of the numerous billionaires living in Dubai. Abu, who started his first business at the age of 18, is the owner and chairperson of Property Development Firm Raj Sahni Group (RSG Group of Companies), one of the most profitable companies in the United Arab Emirates (UAE)
According to various reports, Abu Sabah’s net worth is pegged at around $1.7 billion, with most of his wealth coming from investments and impressive property portfolio.
