Isha Ambani in lehenga, Radhika Merchant in saree for Griha Shanti Puja
Before her wedding, Isha Ambani opted for a stylish lehenga by Sabyasachi for the Griha Shanti Puja. The golden embroidery on the lehenga, combined with printed designs on every panel and blouse, was stunning. She paired it with a dupatta featuring intricate lace details and adorned her look with heavy jewelry. Despite the outfit being from her wedding six years ago, it looked timeless.
Radhika Merchant, on the other hand, donned a white and red Gujarati saree, accessorized with a Maharashtrian nath, kumkum, and statement jewelry. Paired with a contrasting red and golden blouse, her traditional look was elegant. However, Isha’s lehenga-style statement outshone the saree ensemble, establishing her as the most stylish diva of the family.
Haldi ceremony look
Radhika’s Haldi outfit went viral on social media, where she looked gorgeous in a stunning floral-patterned Anamika Khanna ensemble, styled with a dupatta made of jasmine and marigold flowers. Her vibrant appearance captivated many.
However, Isha’s Haldi look stole the show. She wore a yellow Sabyasachi lehenga adorned with gold threadwork and paired it with an organza dupatta draped like a shawl. Instead of heavy jewelry, she wore garlands and earrings made from jasmine flowers and styled her wrists with kadas. Her unique use of real floral jewelry seemed to have set a family trend, elevating her look beyond comparison.
Sangeet Night: Glamour and Sparkle
For the Sangeet night, Isha wore a stunning pink lehenga by Manish Malhotra, embellished with silver embroidery and sequins. Her accessories included an oversized diamond necklace, matching earrings, and bracelets, which added to her regal charm.
Radhika, too, looked radiant in an Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla peach-and-green lehenga. Her off-shoulder choli, with crystal chains dangling from the sleeves, brought a contemporary touch to her traditional outfit. The diamond-and-emerald necklace, heart-shaped earrings, and bracelet added a glamorous finish to her look. While both dazzled, their unique styles shone equally bright.
The bridal look
Isha’s bridal lehenga was a masterpiece by Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla. The ghagra featured 16 panels with intricate embroidery, Mughal jaali work, naqashi, vasli, and zardozi, highlighted with sequins and crystals. The highlight of her look was the addition of her mother Nita Ambani’s 35-year-old saree, styled as a dupatta. This sentimental touch, combined with her diamond jewelry, made her bridal ensemble truly unforgettable.
Radhika also chose an Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla lehenga in traditional red and white, customized in Gujarati style. The lehenga featured zardozi cutwork and motifs, along with two long trails—one 5 meters and the other 80 inches—also adorned with intricate details. Despite its grandeur, it was Isha’s thoughtful incorporation of her mother’s saree that gave her the edge and made her bridal look iconic.
Reception Looks: Valentino vs. Dolce & Gabbana
For her reception, Isha wore a custom lehenga by Maison Valentino, the brand’s first-ever lehenga for a bride. The outfit, styled with a heavily embroidered blouse and zari dupatta, was complemented by her diamond jewelry, making her look extraordinary and memorable.
Radhika, in contrast, opted for Dolce & Gabbana and Anamika Khanna golden outfits. Her corset-style top and satin skirt with floral gold-thread embroidery were luxurious, but the look lacked the timeless appeal of Isha’s Valentino lehenga.
While Radhika’s post-wedding looks were undoubtedly glamorous, Isha’s choices carried a distinct charm that kept her ahead in the style game.
