THIS is the moment a reckless McLaren driver is caught going nearly double the national speed limit in a £150,000 supercar.
The driver of the plush motor was spotted driving at 130mph on a motorway, and then told police he hadn’t realised how fast he was going.

He’d passed an unmarked police vehicle at over 100 mph – with the officer unable to even keep up with him until he encountered slow-moving traffic.
Footage taken from onboard the police vehicle shows the green 600LT model clocking speeds well over the national limit of 70 mph.
Brighton Magistrates’ Court in November, Chandler admitted to driving at excess speed above the limit.
The incident, which happened on April 13 on the M23 north of junction ten, was witnessed by PC Jordan Mitchell.
PC Mitchell was forced to travel in excess of 130mph in order to catch the McLaren, which was later seized under the Road Traffic Act.
Bodycam footage shows Chandler stepping out of the car’s falcon-wing door and approaching an officer at the scene, telling them he had not realised how fast he was travelling.
Sussex Police revealed that Chandler, of Wrights Lane, Kensington, already had nine points on his licence at the time of the incident, and he was later disqualified from driving for six months, fined £2,500, with a £1,000 surcharge and £110 costs.
PC Mitchell said: “Chandler’s driving was reckless, and we know from experience the devastating consequences that speeding can have.
“He is lucky not to have caused himself or another road user serious harm and has now lost his licence and vehicle as a result.”
Earlier this year, a driver behind the wheel of a Lamborghini asked police to ‘let him off’ as it was his wedding day – after they found he had no insurance for the £200,000 motor.
The soon-to-be groom was picked up by road traffic officers following four reports that the lime-green sports car had been speeding.
They ran checks on the convertible vehicle – after stopping it in Bury, Greater Manchester – which showed it did not have any damage protection.
The man then tried to use his upcoming nuptials to plead with officers to spare him punishment.
Elsewhere, Mercedes-AMG have revealed a sleek new sports car that comes without a windscreen and can hit a remarkable top speed of 195 mph.
The oddly-designed motor was unveiled at the Formula 1 season finale in Abu Dhabi over the weekend – boasting an F1 car-styled HALO across the cabin.
