A parade of Santa Claus's sinister counterpart, Krampus, frightened adults and children alike in Munich on Sunday. The annual parade began in 2004, but has roots as far back as 500 years ago in the Alpine region, where the horned, winter spirit was said to punish poorly behaved children.
