Camila Cabello sat down on a panel for an interview at Art Basel Miami Beach held on Dec. 9 in Miami.
Cozying up, the “Shameless” songstress sported a pair of black Gianvito Rossi Finny booties. Retailing for $1,175.00 via the brand’s website, the daring silhouette was meant to mimic the look of a sock boot and was crafted of textural soft stretch knitted fabric.
Almond-shaped toes transitioned into 3.3-inch lacquered heels and non-slip rubber soles. If black booties aren’t your thing, the brand’s Finny style also comes in a rich chocolate brown hue. The textural fabric lends itself well to the rest of the singer’s ensemble, coordinating exceedingly well.
Sock booties have come in and out of fashion since 2017. The silhouette has been altered and re-vamped to fit the trends of the time. Balenciaga’s sock bootie is credited with kicking off the trend. Since then, brands like Bottega Veneta, The Row, Jil Sander and Christian Louboutin have all released sock booties in a slew of compositions, colorways and price ranges. Hailey Baldwin, Bella Hadid, and Sofia Richie have all been seen wearing the polarizing style in the past.
In coordinating fashions, the “Cinderella” star opted for a black textural knitted maxi dress with short sleeves and a high neckline. Worn overtop, Cabello donned a black corset around the waist, further defining her silhouette. Silver jewelry and Y2K-inspired black glasses rounded out her look, offering her ensemble an on-trend office-siren-inspired appearance.
The Cuban-born star can often be found wearing Nike’s Juvenate, Dunk Low and Blazer Mid 77 sneakers. She’s also known for sporting Adidas kicks, in addition to affordable slides and sandals by Franco Sarto, Birkenstock and Steve Madden. The singer often pairs these with dresses, tops and bottoms by affordable brands like H&M, Forever 21 and Zara, in addition to high-end labels like Dolce & Gabbana, Isabel Marant and Versace.
