HILLIARD, Ohio (WCMH) - Updates from the city of Hilliard is showing progress for a recreation and wellness center expected to open next year.
The construction of the 110,000-square-foot facility named "The Well" has hit major milestones, according to the city's Recreation and Parks Department. The gymnasium, natatorium and fitness areas are "taking shape." The city's recreation department mentions that Ruscilli Construction, based out of Dublin, is working on the project.
Ohio State University's Wexner Medical Center will also be part of the new center with a health clinic, bringing community health services to the future recreation and wellness campus. The medical center is also moving along, according to the department.
Along with its gyms and fitness areas, the facility will also feature several other amenities including a pool, water slide, an elevated walking track, game room, outdoor patio and much more.
The Well is located at Scioto Darby and Alton Darby Creek and is expected to open in mid-2025. As of now, memberships for the center will go on sale next year before its opening. For additional information, follow this link.
