Knicks look to gain ground in the East.
The New York Knicks will face the Toronto Raptors in an effort to gain ground in the Eastern Conference. Tony Pesta and Jackson Flickinger will be watching live on Playback. Stream starts at 7:30 pm.
The Knicks have been gaining steam since a slow start. They began the season 3-4 but have since improved to 10-7 with the best Offensive Rating in the NBA. New York is posting a blistering 124 points per 100 possessions — on track for the highest mark in league history.
The addition of Karl-Anthony Towns is largely responsible for their offensive expolsion. He and Jalen Brunson are combing for 50 points per game on red-hot shooting splits across the board. Together, this duo has the Knicks creeping up the Eastern Conference standings, currenlty 1.5 games back from the third-seeded Orlando Magic.
Meanwhile, Toronto is in an awkward stage of their rebuild. Scottie Barnes is a star but the rest of the roster hasn’t quite fallen into place. Toronto is 22nd in Point Differential this season and will need a drastic turn of fate to be more than a Play-In team this season.
