PREMIER LEAGUE fans could be joining in with a referee countdown aimed at combating time-wasting within three seasons.
Referees taking part in the trials both in Prem League Two and Malta have been awarding corners to the attacking side if the ball is not released by goalkeepers within an eight second count.

And fans in the Med have revelled in joining in with the count to heap more pressure on keepers.
The new rule was approved last year after Ifab members agreed the six-second rule, with an indirect free-kick as punishment, was being routinely ignored by players and referees.
And the development comes as good news to Arsenal fans following their recent run of goals from corners.
One Gooner said: “Gabriel is going to win the golden boot.”
Another added: “We are ready for it. Bring it man.”
One joked: “This is our league now.”
A rival fan said: “No don’t do this Arsenal are gonna abuse this.”

Arsenal have set-piece coach Nicolas Jover to thank for their influx of goals from corners this season.
And Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher said on The Overlap: “I’ll tell you what, give him what he wants.
“If you was that set-piece coach for Arsenal, you could write your own contract, couldn’t you? Couldn’t get rid of him.
“You know, if he said, ‘I want 25 grand a week,’ you’d have to give it to him, wouldn’t you?”
