Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly plotting a shock move to sign a centre-back, who only made a switch to Fulham during the recent summer transfer window.
Since moving from Crystal Palace to Fulham in a £30m deal in the summer, Joachim Anderson has hardly put a foot wrong, having quickly become a mainstay in the Cottagers’ backline.
The Dane’s displays are one of the main reasons why Marco Silva’s men have been extremely hard to breach defensively, having conceded just 13 goals in 11 league games, and currently sitting in seventh place in the table.
However, it has now emerged that the 28-year-old’s performances at Craven Cottage are already attracting envious glances from other Premier League sides, including Spurs.
This update comes from CaughtOffside, who say that both Tottenham and Liverpool are eyeing a move for the Fulham star in January.
It is revealed that the two Premier League giants have been joined in the race by Juventus, who are also big fans of the former Palace man.
However, the outlet states that although Anderson is on the radar of these clubs, none of them have settled on their number one defensive target as of yet, with those decisions yet to be finalised ahead of January.
The publication speculates that since Anderson is settled in London, a move across the capital to Spurs might appeal to the centre-back.
However, CaughOffside make it clear that none of Tottenham, Liverpool or Juventus have reached out to Fulham or the player’s representatives yet.
The publication points out that Marco Silva’s men are not under pressure to sell since Anderson’s current deal runs until 2029, with the centre-back having no release clause in his contract.
However, they add that things could get interesting if the Reds or the Lilywhites decide to test the West London club’s resolve.
