New Delhi: India star batter Virat Kohli lost his wicket to Australian pacer Josh Hazlewood after scoring just 5 runs off 12 deliveries at the Optus Stadium in Perth.
Kohli had no answer to Hazlewood’s delivery, which had extra bounce, and it resulted in a nick that flew straight into the hands of wicketkeeper Alex Carey. This marks the fourth time Hazlewood has dismissed Kohli in red-ball cricket.

Kohli came to the crease with India in a precarious position at 14/2, but he couldn’t make a significant impact. He was dismissed for just 5 runs, leaving India at 32/3 after 16.2 overs. This dismissal added more pressure on the 36-year-old, with expectations rising for him to deliver in such a critical situation.
India had a disastrous start to the Test match after winning the toss and opting to bat first. The Men in Blue lost 4 wickets in the opening session, collapsing to 51/4. The early wickets put India in a tough spot, making it a challenging start to their innings.
