AUSTIN (KXAN) -- A pair of events are kicking off the holiday spirit with a focus on family friendly fun across Austin including, a visit from the jolly man in red and the not so jolly man in green!
Taking place at The Domain in North Austin this Saturday is the Who-liday Kickoff Event. This event will be from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. There will be plenty of fun things to do with the entire family including a meet and greet with the grumpiest man in green and his little dog too! There will also be a bracelet bar, face painters, balloon twisting, and plenty of music.
At 5:45 p.m. the tree lighting ceremony will kick off, as the sun goes down the lights come on!
Taking over The Circuit of the Americas, Peppermint Parkway returns once again! Expect to see a drive through holiday display with a ton of light features and a meet and greet with Santa himself. You can take a picture and share your Christmas list with him.
There will also be a Holiday Plaza where you can enjoy some food, rides, Christmas Carols and some go-kart racing! Tickets are available online.
