YOU ask if they could take your puppy for a walk whilst you’re away or knock on their door for a bit of sugar.
But one ”entitled” woman has taken her relationship with a neighbour to the next level, allegedly wondering if he could look after her kid so that she could relax on the sofa.
According to the gobsmacked man, she keeps asking him and his wife to babysit her kid – despite the couple both working full time and having their own lives outside work too.
The man noted he doesn’t know the woman too well and would find it rather uncomfortable to look after child regardless whether his work schedule was busy or not, so he keeps saying no.
However, the neighbour, who moved in back into the property in spring, keeps popping up with the same request and has even branded him “selfish” for refusing.
Taking to Reddit, he explained that at first, the mum would only ask the pair to babysit when she needed to go out and didn’t have anyone else to take care of her little one.
But as of recent, the neighbour has allegedly needed the couple to babysit her child so that she could “sit on the couch and relax” while catching up on her favourite TV shows.
He wrote: “If we had the time then yes we most probably would look after her child for a few hours but we are both extremely busy people.
”We usually work the same days so we get the same days off as each other and we want to relax when we get home, but the neighbour is knocking on the door asking for us to look after her child.
”Even on our days off, she keeps asking and asking and it’s getting so annoying now.
”Apparently, she has no one to look after her child but how is that our problem?”
He went on in the post: “Yesterday when she asked us to look after her child I actually said yes this time and told her I’ll do it just this once if you stop asking us.
”She agreed to this deal and I asked her what time she wanted me to come round, and she said she wasn’t going out she just wanted to sit on the couch and relax… are you actually kidding me right now?
”I’m not looking after someone’s child so they can relax on the couch!”

Lost for words and totally taken aback, fellow social media users urged the man to put his foot down and explain that he’d be refusing to look after the child if he didn’t want to.
One person wrote: “Being nice is always a positive trait to have, but it gives people like your neighbour an opportunity to abuse it.
”At some point you need to be assertive, you need to be rude.
”Tell her to her face to stop knocking on your door, stop asking you to babysit, it isn’t going to happen.
”Set clear boundaries. Good luck.”
And another advise to ignore the neighbour, writing: “I wouldn’t answer the door for her anymore, she’ll get the hint eventually.”
